CeBIT New Zealand Day

Thursday, March 6 2008, 10.00am – 4.30pm
Hall 14, Stand G38

CeBIT’s first ever New Zealand Day has been created to recognise and celebrate New Zealand’s innovative technology and unique culture.

New Zealand’s growing ICT industry springs from the country’s tradition of self-sufficiency, where geographical isolation has meant New Zealanders finding ingenious solutions to everyday problems. Examples of ingenious ‘Kiwi’ technologies are being profiled at the New Zealand Pavilion. Visitors will have the opportunity to converse with a humanoid robot boy named Zeno, try out the latest computer mouse device with enhanced accuracy and speed, have their faces scanned by a 3D laser surface scanner and view the latest banking, business software and telematics technologies.

New Zealand Day also has some exciting opportunities for those who dream of visiting or moving to New Zealand. Immigration New Zealand and Hudson Recruitment will be on hand to offer advice about living and working in New Zealand, whether short or long term.

In addition Air New Zealand is offering all CeBIT visitors the opportunity to win return flights from Germany to New Zealand. Fill out an entry form at the New Zealand Pavilion on 6 March and be in to win. Be sure to read the competition terms and conditions before entering.

With a range of business solutions being exhibited, the ‘New Zealand, New Thinking’ stand will be a real showcase for the best in New Zealand technologies – not to mention the country, culture and opportunities.

Ernst Raue, Board of Deutsche Messe, said: “Deutsche Messe is pleased to present New Zealand Day, CeBIT’s first ever national day. This is the fourth year New Zealand has attended CeBIT and we have created this national day to celebrate New Zealand’s innovative technologies and unique culture.”
